We believe that all children have the right to a high quality education.
Our flexible teaching means we can provide students with specialised support in areas like learning, behaviour and mental health. This includes students with learning disabilities.
Our junior school offers a range of core classes (such as English, Maths and Wellbeing) and specialist classes (such as The Arts, Technologies and Health and Physical Education).
Our curriculum uses hands-on, individualised learning. Our staff believe in all our students and have a caring approach.
We offer the Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major (VCE VM) and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) to senior students with a focus on building skills in Literacy, Numeracy, Personal Development Skills (PDS) and Work Related Skills (WRS).
Our different Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses are offered both onsite and in partnership with local TAFE and training organisations. These courses give students experience to prepare them to be ‘job ready’ and enter the workforce.
Our approach at the Berry Street School is unique. We support students to set goals for their future - whether that's education, training or employment. We do this with an approach of:
